Michael Carson

Michael Carson 65 of Newark, devoted son and loyal friend passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 17, 2019. 

A lifelong resident of the Newark's North Ward,  Michael loved the city he was born and raised in. He was the Chairman of the North Ward Republican Committee and Commissioner of the Essex County Board of Elections. His career in Newark politics spans over 40 years.

To say Newark was his heart and soul is an understatement. A proud graduate of Barringer High School and Montclair State University he lived in his childhood home in the city that he loved. He was predeceased by his beloved mother, Elizabeth Wetzel. He leaves behind countless memories and stories that his friends will cherish forever. 

Visitation Tuesday, November 26th 10:00 am - 12:00 noon. Interment at Glendale Cemetery immediately following the visitation.
