Rafael Alfonso

Rafael Alfonso late of Newark passed away on Tuesday, October 8th at Forest Hill Health Care Center in Newark. He was born in Camajuani, Cuba on April 4, 1924 to the late Antonio and Isabel (Cano). He migrated to the United State in the late 1960's and settle in Newark where he became the proud business owner of Alfonso Grocery Store in Newark's North Ward. 

Beloved husband of the late Juana (Espinosa), devoted father of the late Rafael, Jr., loving brother of the late Jose Manuel. He is survived by his brother Ricardo Alfonso,nieces, nephews,  many great friends that cared for him daily, grandchildren and his faithful companion, his dog Bogie. 

The visitation will be on Saturday, October 12th from 6-8PM.
