Ramon Padilla, 68, passed away New Years Eve, 2018. He was born on October 24th, 1950, in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico; one of nine children by Carmen and Juan Padilla. Ramon came to America as a teenager with hopes of a better life, and settled in Newark, New Jersey, where he would later start a family with his beloved wife, Juana.
A man of many passions and talents. Ramon always dreamt of pursuing a singing career. He was a talented guitarist and vocalist with a flair for performance who could always be heard singing anything from Spanish love songs to religious hymns. Ramon was also a blue collar worker who would work in a variety of jobs, even working several jobs at a time, to make ends meet and provide for his family.
Throughout his life, Ramon remained a very faith-driven man who was a member of the Catholic church, sang in choir, and attended services regularly.
Ramon is predeceased by his loving wife, Juana and his youngest son, Ivan. He leaves behind his sons, Richard, Ramon Jr., and Angelo; daughter, Maribel and his son-in-law, Bill; grandchildren, Gabriella, Cathryn, Raymond, Zachary, Richard Jr., and Solmarie; four sisters, three brothers and a many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend his wake on Saturday, January 5th, 2019 from 4 pm-7 pm
