Aida Guzman Molinary, 73, of Elizabeth, New Jersey, passed away on November 5th, 2023, after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
Aida was born on March 12th , 1950 to Maria Perez and Julio Guzman in the Bronx, New York. After graduating Central High School in 1968 Aida worked many years for Newark City Hall and later worked over 25 years for the United States Postal Service.
She will be remembered as the candy lady by the children of Alfa & Omega Pentecostal Church, in Newark, where she was a faithful member. She loved her biological family and church family very much and was always there when you needed her. Pastor Jonathan Torres, of Alfa & Omega, told the story of how just a couple of months ago Aida bought a playground set for his four children. Pastor Torres said he and his son had a great time putting it together in their backyard.
Aida leaves behind her son, Ricardo R. Padilla, daughter-in-law, Denise Gonzalez-Padilla, and granddaughter Gabriella Corona, as well as the following siblings:
Julio Guzman, Juan (Rafy) Guzman, Linda Lopez and niece Tabitha Serrano, Deborah Lopez-Gutierrez
The viewing will take place on Tuesday, November 14th from 5:00-9:00PM and Wednesday, November 15th from 8:00-9:30AM at:
Alfa & Omega Pentecostal Church 4 Fleming Avenue Newark, New Jersey 07105
Interment will take place at Rosehill Cemetery, Linden, NJ immediately following the visitation on Wednesday.
