Anibal Cortes

Mr. Anibal Cortes, Sr. was born September 19, 1965 in Newark, New Jersey to Luis M. & Isabel Cortes. He matriculated through the New Jersey School System and was a proud graduate of East Side High School. His love and passion for automobiles, mechanics and sports was always forefront– but not before his love for His Family and Dedication to those he loved dearly. He was a God-fearing, Hard-working Man of God. He loved his Family, and constantly stressed the importance of keeping God first always. As a dedicated Father and Husband, he was Self-Employed and always kept busy working hard to provide for his Family and help those in need, even while pushing through his own obstacles. He will be missed beyond imagination for his quick wit, his compassionate advice, and his charming and gentle spirit. Many things in life won’t be the same without sharing them with him. He spent so much time doing things that made him truly one of a kind. Aside from watching The New York Mets, The Jets and New York Knicks, he loved Gold Rush, and spending time with his loving wife, children and grandson. They were undoubtedly the apple of his eye. 

He is proceeded in death by his father, Mr. Luis M. Cortes. He leaves to cherish a loving and devoted wife of over 30 years, Mrs. Esmerelda Cortes, One Loving Son, Mr. Jayson Cortes, A Loving Daughter, Ms. Jarelis Cortes, Loving Grandson Josiah Luis Cortes. His loving mother Isabel Cortes, His sisters Elsie, Denise, Jaynes. His brothers Luis and Melvin, nieces and nephews. He will be missed greater than words can ever say. May his transition be nothing short of Paradise.

Visitation for Mr.Cortes will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 from 9-11 AM. Following visitation the burial will take place at Arlington Cemetery in Kearny, NJ.
