Jorge Tapia Obituary

Jorge was born on June 4, 1937 and passed away on Friday April 30, 2021. He immigrated to the Unites States from Alausi, Ecuador in the 1960's and was a resident of Newark, NJ for more than 50 years. He worked as a skilled welder and mechanic and came to know many people in the community. Jorge enjoyed daily walks to the bodega, volleyball, and spending time with his family. He is proceeded by his wife Lorenza Tapia and son Marco Tapia. He is survived by his children Lupe Tapia Leon( Tomas Caratini), Maria Eugenia Tapia (Douglas), and Lorena Tapia; grandchildren Carlos Veintimilla, Jennifer Veintimilla Fernandez, Giovanni Caratini, Rachel Esteves Schmidt, Lorenzo Tapia, and Lexi Rodriguez ; great-grandchildren Zulieka and Zayden.
