Jose Castro Matos

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jose Castro on August 12, 2023. 

Born into a large family of 7 brothers and 2 sisters, 

He is survived by his 5 brothers, a testament to the strong bonds of family that shaped his life.

Jose's legacy lives on through his cherished children: Lucy, Marisol, Jose, Waliska, Jackhayra and Abigail, demonstrating his dedication to his family.

As a loving grandfather, Jose leaves behind a lasting impact on his grandchildren: Alessandro, Yasmeen, Marisabel, Nydia, Jocelyn, Jaylina, and Jarilin. 

Fortunately, Jose had the privilege of knowing and contributing to the upbringing of his great-grandchild, Jaydalin. This special connection added another layer of love and meaning to his already rich and impactful life.

His influence will continue to shape their lives as they remember the lessons and love he shared.

In addition to his connection with family, Jose found joy in nature, often engaging in outdoor activities like jogging, biking, and enjoying the beach. He also had a passion for fixing cars, which added depth to his life.

While his expressions of affection were often nonverbal, his actions revealed a heart full of kindness and generosity. The loss of Jose Castro is deeply felt, leaving a void that reflects the profound impact he had on those around him.

His Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 17th, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Friday, August 18th, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Following Visitation on Friday there will be an interment in Arlington Cemetery, Kearny, NJ.
