Obituary
Juan "Piliche" Mendez, 86, peacefully passed away on April 24, 2023. He was born in 1936, in Camuy, Puerto Rico. He moved to New Jersey at a young age and became one of the founding members of "Jersey Gents and Ladies Too/ International Taxi", of Newark, NJ.
Piliche was a staple to the Newark community and spent many years providing the upmost service. He was well known by many, and always had a cheerful disposition
Juan is survived by his wife Tomasa Mendez his two children, Juan Carlos Mendez and Damary Rodriguez, along with 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Our memories of him will forever live in our hearts. He was one of the best grandfather's and he will be missed by many. We love you forever!
His Visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 26th, from 5-9PM and Thursday, April 27th, from 10-11AM. Following Visitation on Thursday there will be an Interment in Arlington Cemetery, Kearny.
