Obituary
Luis D. Bocanegra, passed away at the age of 75 on April 26, 2023. He was born on August 1, 1947 in Lima, Peru, where he was raised. He later moved to Newark, New Jersey where he had got married and raised his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, godfather, great-uncle and great-great uncle who loved his family.
Luis was preceded in death by his late wife Violeta Bocanegra and niece Genny Bocanegra. He is survived by his son Louis, his sisters and brothers, Miriam, Bertha, Sofia, Maria, Victor, Ana Del Pilar, Daniel; nephews and niece Juan, Jeffrey, Ana, and Jason; 13 great-nieces and nephews and also 3 great-great nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many beloved family members and friends.
Please join family and close friends for visitation on Monday, May 1st, 2023 from 9-9:30 am. Following after is a Funeral Mass at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, in Newark, New Jersey at 10am. Interment will be private.
