Nelson G Montalvo

Nelson G. Montalvo, 77 of Newark, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023. He was born on October 19, 1945, in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico. He grew up in Ponce and later moved to Newark, NJ where he met his beloved wife and raised their family. He worked as a machine operator at Ardell Industries Inc. in Union, NJ and Cardan Design Corp. in Maplewood, NJ.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a kind and generous soul. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Margarita; his sons Ricardo and Nelson and his wife Jennifer, his five grandchildren Samantha, Linkin, Vanity, Maddox, Maximus; his daughter Wendy Costantino and husband Ariel, and his three grandchildren Nicolas, Daniel, and Juliana.

Please join family and friends for visitation on Monday, April 24th from 5-9 PM and Tuesday, April 25th from 9-9:30 AM. Following visitation Tuesday morning, there will be a Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel at 10 AM. Immediately following Mass, Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
