Neyda Bernal Reyes

Neyda Bernal Reyes age 79, died peacefully and suddenly Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at Clara Maass Hospital, in New Jersey following a brief illness. She is survived by her husband Arturo Reyes, and her son Arturo Reyes Jr, who was the light of her life, and her three beloved sisters.

Born November 21, 1940 in Pinar Del Rio, Cuba, Neyda was a graduate of Gardin De La Infancia University where she earned her degree in Elementary Education. In 1971 she immigrated to the United States where she touched the lives of many while starting a transportation business for public and private schools.

An accomplished business woman in Newark New Jersey, Neyda owned and operated businesses, including property management. She was devoted to her professional success, and her employees, while finding the balance between family and friends.  In addition, she worked tirelessly in humanitarian relief efforts in both Cuba and Honduras. Neyda, harbored a Love for family, people and mankind. The Monarch of the family, she had a passion for cooking, sharing advice and giving to others. She will be remembered for her generosity, compassion and willingness to help all. A devout Christian, she was regarded as the glue that kept the family together. Neyda, truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. Her love, intuition and grace are reflected through the many couples of whom she guided in finding love and marriage. 

She will be remembered for her smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit. Those who knew Neyda, even just a little bit, have lost a shining light in their lives.

A memorial prayer service will be planned for the near future.
