Pedro "Pete" Velazquez Jimenez

Pedro J. Velazquez Jimenez, Only son, a brother of four sisters, a caring uncle of his nieces and nephews & great nephews and nieces passed away at the age of 57. Born in Salinas, Puerto Rico, In the 60's Pedro was raised in Newark NJ where he grew up and made lot's of friends, Pedro moved to his family’s home in Salinas, Puerto Rico in 1977 where he stayed until he graduated from the Escuela Superior Luis Munoz Rivera Salinas in 1981. Pete was a selfless man who always put others before himself. He cared for his family deeply and genuinely loved people without judgment. Pete loved the simple things in life, a class act with a heart too big for this world. He was a fan of superhero comics, a collector of endless movie titles, and a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan along with a true New York Yankees fan. One of the few people in this world that you could call a phenomenal human being and a true servant of Christ. Psalms 116:15-16 says, “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his faithful servants. Truly I am your servant, LORD; I serve you just as my mother did; you have freed me from my chains.” Pedro leaves behind his mother Ana Maria Jimenez and four sisters: Amneris (Lily) Velazquez de Loperena Norma (Chicky) Velazquez Jimenez, Waleska Velazquez Jimenez, and Yari Velazquez. Along with his nieces and nephews: Nelson, Angel, Jenise, Felix, Miguel, Daneris, Ferdinand, Joshua, Briana, Jocelyn, and Jesus, and his great nephews and nieces Jonathan, Tiana, Angie, Geo, Aidan Iyla, Layla, Avalyn, Alexander,Nelkie Nelson,Tali, Lia and many more that he embraced of nephews and nieces. Pete you are gone but never will be forgotten rest in our Lord presence.
