Rosa (Rose) Maria Carrasquillo

Born on 9/5/1934 in Luquillo, Puerto Rico and passed away on  June 23, 2020 at the age of  85.  Wife of the late Rafael Carrasquillo.  Survived by her  daughters Rosie, Helen Galarza    ( husband Raymond), Ana D. Manley( husband Willie D. Jr) and pre-deceased by both Gloria R. Campione and her husband Joseph , 10 grandchildren , 12 great grand  children and 1 great great grand child.  Her nieces Monse and Connie Villanueva, Miguel Angel Rios as well as many other  nieces and nephews.  She was pre-deceased by her parents  Mr. and Mrs. Ruperta and Jose Rios, her brothers  Roberto , Miguel Angel ,  Juan , Gelin  , Felix  and three sisters  Fidelina Monet, Gloria Morales  and Claudina Rivera and one living brother Jose Rios.

      She lived in Brooklyn, New York before moving to Newark, New Jersey more than 50 years ago.  She worked for several companies including Little chef pizza in Newark, , N.J. while caring and raising for her four daughters. She was a member of the Red Hat Society.  She was a Cursillista for over 50 years , a Eucharistic minister and a member of the Friday night prayer group for the sick  for Immaculate Conception Church in Newark, NJ.

      Due to the Covid 19 pandemic  the visitation and interment will be private.                         

     A Mass will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church  370-406 Woodside Ave, Newark, NJ on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 10AM.
