In Loving Memory of Yajaira Marrero Marcano, 43, of Newark, passed away at 11:06 pm, Wednesday night, April 28, 2021. She was born January 17, 1978, in Puerto Rico to Luz Marcano. She graduated from Barringer High School. She was a Christian that used to attend Fuente De Vida Church. She then later in life had attended classes to become a home health aid because she had a love for helping those who couldn’t help themselves. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by her children: Jacqueline Rodriguez, Naisha Martinez, Yaralee Serrano, Kasandra Serrano, and Melvin Serrano; her brothers: Roberto Santiago, Norberto Vargas, and Alberto Vargas, Christian Santiago Marrero, Robert Santiago Marrero; her grandchildren: Jeremih Romeo Roman and Hayden Salomon Cruz. And by her aunts, uncles, grandparents, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and many more loved ones. We all suffered a huge loss. She taught us all what is truly important in life- to love, support and care for family and friends in our lives. She was a strong independent woman with a beautiful heart and soul.
Even though she is gone now I know that her legacy will continue to live on in all of us. She was loved by many. She always wanted to see everyone live their life to the fullest. We will keep her in our hearts forever, may she rest in peace. Now she flies with the butterflies.
Services will be held at Alvarez Funeral Home on May 7, 2021 at 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
